News Release - October 9, 2001

After ten years as the hottest band in St. Louis, the modern rock band Paint the Earth announces the release of their first CD, "One Revolution," on November 3rd at The Pageant in the University City Loop. The band will host a CD Release Party that will feature performances by two other St. Louis-based bands, Shrinking Violets and Fly From August.

The November 3rd event at The Pageant will feature an evening of live music, featuring the unique and highly diverse original songs written and performed by Paint the Earth. A highlight of the CD features a tribute to musician and friend of the band John Rudebeck on a song called "Smile." Rudebeck was slain in 2000 while working at an entertainment store in the area of St. Louis known as "The Loop." Rudebeck was also the guitarist for the band Mind Over Soul. Paint the Earth will be performing the song on November 3rd as a tribute to their friend and fellow musician.

The November 3rd CD Release party at The Pageant will be an "all ages" show. Doors open at 7 with live performances by the three bands running from 8PM to 1AM. Cost for the show is $7. For more information, visit the Paint the Earth website at www.pteband.com or e-mail to mail@pteband.com.
